Hi Jinxxy,

Go Redskins!!!!...... :(

No, I am not a twin, I'm 31 and my Bro's 29. We both work together though, have our own Company and business centre, Oh, and a good taste in cars!

Welcome aboard and very nice cars there!

Dissident how did you like the Elise?

ok, a bit offtopic, but.... wonder how that compares to the elise....

Um... Well, on one hand, I love it [the elise]. It feels completely like a gokart. When you hit those stupid reflectors int eh road, you feel it through the whole chasis. Of course, being that stiff, the car actually bounces around quite a bit on anything other than smooooooth roads, to the point where I almost think it might be adversely affecting the handling...

The engine feels way better in it than it did in the celica. BUT, I still HATE that engine... power actually dips from like, 4K on until you get on the cam at like 6 or 7K rpm or so...

I don't know, I'm not realyl sure what the point of the elise is. I could never live with is as a daily driver. Yes, it is proabbly the best street legal (in the US) car to take the track, but if I bought something jsut for the track, why would I bother with something street legal, especially for $40K? I'd rather have any other of a long list.. a Radical SR3.... a shifter cart.. A bike (oh, wait... ;) ). the only two reasons I see for it are a) posing, and b) actual SCCA racing....

It is a BLAST to drive, but I'd love it even more with any number of other engines, and I would actually soften up the handling to give it some more grip on normal roads..... And ditch the stereo and AC.

Fun toy, but like I said, for the $$$ I'd rather have a Z, a bike, and a cheap pickup! and I've got 2 out of 3....

Hi all,

For those of you not familiar with the VX it is based on a lotus chassis, has a 2 litre turbo engine and weighs 930kg, it is only 111cm high. It will hit 0-60 in 4.7 seconds and 0-100 in 12.6 seconds with a top end of 151mph. My brother Andy is thinking of putting a stage 3 kit onto it, 0-60 in 3.9 seconds and 0-100 in about 9 seconds. Very basic inside but very quick and nimble, sticks to the road like glue. Someone my brother knows has upgraded his to a stage 5, which he has helped develop. It's kicking out 330bhp, and about the same in torque. He was leaving tyre stripes down the motorway, where he was spinning his wheels at about 80mph. He's developing other parts of the car so that he can get much better traction. If he feeds the throttle in, there's not much that can beat it. His 0-100mph time / qtr mile time would be ridiculous compared to a standard turbo like Andy's.

Had my Z for a month now and loving it. Thinking of putting an APS TT onto mine but waiting till early next summer to see if there are any issues with the kit.

Catch you later,

Gav
