Lowered 350z Rear cambers won’t match

Hello everyone,
So I’ve had this problem for a while. I lowered my 350z with the BC racing coilovers, but when I went to the alignment shop, they tell me that the camber on the right hand side is positive and won’t go in the negatives, while the left is only in the negatives. Hence the camber on both sides cannot match. The car has a set of camber arms as well. I’m not sure is there is something bent on my right side that won’t let it camber down to the negatives. Any ideas?

If your suspension has positive camber on the RH rear, while the LH side is negative, you've got some unusual problems. If your Z has adjustable lower camber arms, did the alignment shop say they'd maxed out the adjustment to get that side back into spec? Does your Z have any history of shunts or damage that could explain a bent chassis or other problems?

No history that I am aware of. The wheel has a bit of a dent so I think it might have just slid into a curb. But the damage doesn’t look big enough to have caused the chassis to bend.

What did the alignment shop say about the adjustable rear camber arms? Did they max out the adjustment to get some additional negative camber?

A wheel with a dent could be a sign of a severe impact and damaged rear camber rod on that side. Have you inspected and compared it to the other side?

There are so many possible issues here causing the unequal camber adjustment. Sadly, all related to bent suspension components. If the wheel took a lateral shunt, good chance the upper or lower control arms (spring bucket), and possibly the rear cross member could be tweaked. But, I'd first focus on the lateral arm - in your case, the adjustable camber arm. They are the most outboard component and connected to the wheel mounted hardware; taking the biggest impact of a wheel slam. And, the lateral arm or camber arm aren't that robust. I'd start there and move inwards to the control arms and cross member.

Just realized I said the same thing as dkmura, previous post. Sorry but maybe there's a word in there that points to something.

OP- we've given you some ideas as requested. Have any of them helped? What've you found about this alignment problem? That's got to be one strange handling Z...
