i just installed my new popcharger. it's my first mod. **** it is tight. i mean tis nothing big, but now after 2500 rpms it sounds aggressive. sounds kinda like a quiter turbo spooling up. sounds awesome. Sometimes sounds like i did my exhaust.
But now that i think about it. i want as much air as i can into my engine as my next mod, not exhaust. i am gonna stay NA. I was thinkin kinetix v4 plenum. never heard probs with this version. is this a compliment to the popcharger? i also hear UT intake pipe, but isnt that purely cosmetic. My goal is to be quick with a quiet exhaustsuch as stock but having a wicked sounding engine. I love the sound of the popcharger, but I would want to multiply it. I want it to sound outside the car as if tons of air is getting into thee engine such as the turbo sound but without the blow off valve cuz i dont want to go turbo. What if i do the kinetix v4? will that help. or can my whole intake system not get any louder. BUT i am not going for only sound, i want performance i can feel also. Any ideas on how to make my ENTIRE INTAKE sound/performance the best it can be. not cosmetic, but performanc AND sound

so how do i have the loudest intake setup imaginable WITH performance gains without goinf fi?

I have the JWT and UT intake pipe along with the Helix test pipes. It can get loud at WOT. The plenum is a good idea, also, but keep in mind that the more air you feed into your engine, the more space it needs to get out. Eventually, you will have to modify your exhaust somehow to accomodate your air intake.

ya i was thinking kinetix v4 because i dont think its worth spending the few hundred more for crawford and then another strut bar.. well i did read up on performance a little on that but how would my sound change with that plenum?

There is a maximum amount of air the motor will digest with N/A.
I read somewhere that there will be a point where you can actually hinder the motors performance by giving it too much air, something about positive (or is that negative) pressure whilst not at WOT.

Anyway, before I confuse myself, I would never do this, but you could always consider removing all the intake plumbing and installing a very small filter at the throttle body (plumb thru the hood for cold air).
Sounds extreme, but would be one crazy muther of sound.
But gets back to having a balanced induction system etc that probably hinders performance at anything but WOT.

If you want the loudest and the best sounding intake, get ITBs. There's no other way around it. And they sound so good, popcharger doesn't even compare. There was a video of 350z with that setup, but i can't find it anymore.

WHAT are ITB's? im a newbie... sorry. is this the indivdual throttle body system? PLEASE give infor for z applications, where to buy... price....how hard to install. im assuming the popcharger was a waste of money if id get this right? maybe just get the kinetix v4 instead?

ALSO... i heard some buddies say the UT intake pipe is only cosmetic. i dont want to getting it if it is strictly cosmetic. i was on some site with them seeling the pipe and they didnt advertise any hp gains. somebody shed the light on the truth. cuz i was thinkin bout pairing this up with my popcharger but only if ill get more performance out of it

Don't mean to hijack the thread but I also got a Pop-charger today. Also dynoed the car. Overall, the car feels like it pulls harder. According to the Dyno I only gained 4hp and 4lb/ft of torque. But the graph showed an increase across the board.
