First of all, don't believe the dealer/salesperson. With used Z's, you can never tell what trim it really is; you need to have them show you based on the VIN. For the most part, if you buy from a reputable dealer, then it's been given the once over and they have a legal car to sell.

Track model is the top of the line because of the wheels. They're the only Z with the Rays Engineering Track wheels (with a lip). They have a cloth interior.

Oh, just check out this link: http://www.350z-tech.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=753

Brembo calipers are used on the Track models, but there is a slight possibility that they could be aftermarket. Heck, even leather seats can be aftermarket. You should be able to contact Nissan with the VIN to find out how it was originally equiped, if you have the time.

BTW, it's not VIN number - VIN means Vehicle Identification Number, so "VIN number" is like saying Vehicle Identification Number Number. That's almost as bad as saying rpms! RPM means Revolutions Per Minute, saying rpms is like saying revolutions per minutes, or something silly like that. Z owners shouldn't use the wrong words and appear foolish to other marks.... :doh: :rolf2:

It's tough to tell the difference visually but the things that stick out to me are:

* Brembo Brakes = Track or 35th Anniv

* VDC button = not a Base or Enthusiast

* HID headlights = not a Base

* Navigation = most likely a Touring

* Power/Heated Seats = Touring

Now, it's possible to get just about any accessory installed on any model so it's not a sure thing. Best bet is to get the VIN and look it up.

Here are some of the only ways to really tell:

No Cruise Control, Traction Control -> Base
Heated Seats -> Touring
Automatic -> Enthusiast or Touring
Roadster -> Enthusiast or Touring
VDC -> Performance, Touring (6MT), or Track

Wheels, seats, brakes, all of that can be changed.
