I love it... If you're going F/I though, why not go Greddy? You get a sick looking intercooler on that thing and it will look great! Plus, if you go with Stillen you'll have to modify the hood, and your car looks pimp already... I wouldn't want to mess up the lines.

I don't think he can keep the engine cover if he gets the Crawford. But I supposed he could always order a new one and paint that
You can get your engine cover painted and trimmed for the crawford by ZPRESENCE over at 350zfrenzy.com. He does excellent work... check for yourself!

Greddy is to expensive, and you have to test and tune to the max to make it right. Stillen comes tuned, and cost about 4k less

I'm not sure where you're getting the 4K number for the price break on Stillen, but I was under the impression that the Greddy kit was somewhere around 7K for the whole setup. I know you can't get the Stillen for less than 3K. As for the tuning... Stillen tunes theirs before shipping them, but I don't really see that as an advantage. Sure it takes less to get it all set up and working right, but I'd rather have something tuned AFTER it's on MY car, not just to some specs that they have lying around.

I'm just thinking, if you're going to drop that much cash into a car, might as well get the best bang for your buck! Also, there are a few more kits on the horizon that might be more promising... Might want to wait to see one of those.

To be completely honest with you... I just don't like that hood scope at all, and I'd hate to do that to a car as nice as yours.

In any case, I hope you're happy with what you end up with.

Yeah, that hood is

And I agree with Chuck about the tuning. Unless you install the Stillen right off the lot (which isn't the case here obviously), pre-tuning loses its advantages

I here ya, but I would have to say Id rather have a company that has been working on the Z for ever make a kit for me. As for tuning I think Stillen has it pretty well setup to not blow up our cars. Greddy kit is about 6k with at least a 2k install. I can get the Stillen stage 3 for 4k, and have it installed with no hassle at all for 1k.

I really hate that Stillen hood too though, but i have not seen it with my own eyes. I was at a car show for fathers day in Oakmont PA, and there was an 04 350z with a Power Enterprize twin turbo. It was sweat, but the guy had 10k into it, and he said he has been fighting to get it tuned perfectly. It is a tuff call, but the turbo would be a lot cooler, and you would get a lot more power. It is a toss up, but I just want something reliable. Plus the stillens great warranty with it for an extra $300. That really helps the car if im ever to sell it. I love my car the way it is though, and a FI would get me some nasty speeding tickets that I dont need. I think its a little early to do anything cause thier is still a lot of stuff coming out.

Another thing that scares me is the fact that the prices on the 350z is coming down. Being a car dealer I keep my eye on prices, and they are getting cheaper, and cheaper. If I go FI I will be very upside down on my car on the resale side. I bought my car with 9k miles on it for $25,000. Not a bad price, but they are surely getting less expensive.

It's hard to pull mod $$ out at resale...& forget about your labor.

A lot more power from a TT setup -wouldn't you be lookin at a beefier bottom end at that point?...(it'd beat lookin at toasted bearing bits in yr oil pan...)

How much HP are you willing to put on this stock bottom end? How far north of 400 before we smell smoke?...

Inquiring minds want to know.
