JAN 06 issue of import tuner has a 2 page review of the K40 BLUETOOTH CALIBRE radar detector and jammer.

looks to be kinda pricey, but for a no-hassle WIRELESS (sweet sweet cleanliness) fool proof detector/jammer... i like.

the jammer is a fake front lisence plate frame (LLLLLLAME!) that is not what i like.. but you dont have to buy the jammer, and you get 2 sweet blue LEDs to install anywhere u want to alert you of the 5-0.

my buddy has a valentine one and has it on sensitive most of the time... cuz he drives f'n fast. and that thing picked up one of those neighboorhood trailer radar things that just tells u yer speed... it was like 3/4 to a mile away and we were just cruisin in the neighboorhood adjacent to it... i digress.

thats all i can say on this topic.

I have a k40 in my 2003 and it works great it picks up state troopers on the highway over 2 miles away and the install is hidden with just a small led light installed in the gauge cluster, the individual diffuser are in the license plate frame on the front bumper.

The AntiLaser G8 and the LPP (same unit, different marketing) are considered to be the best laser jammers you can buy. You can only buy them from Croatia or England respectively because of a patent law in effect in the United States preventing a U.S. distributor.

The G8 is in stock from AntiLaser. This is the company that makes the unit but to buy it, you have to do a bank wire transfer which includes an extra charge.

This is the UK company that sells the same unit under the name Laser Pro Park. It's easier to get it here (can use a credit card) but they have such a high demand there's a wait. They are supposed to be getting a new supply within the next week or so.

They are both available as single or double head units and marketed as parking sensors (which they can do) to avoid any legal issues.

this one is the only one that has been tested by a 3rd part to work

I'd bet whoever did that teast was paid by Escort.

Radar and laser jammers don't work. Why? Because if they did work, the company selling them would be in legal hot water with the FCC. It is illegal to posses a laser or radar transmitter that is powerful enough to jam a laser or radar gun without an FCC license.

You're half right. Radar jammers are illegal because they transmit a radio signal (they also don't really work that well) which falls under the FCC rules and regulations. Laser jammers on the other hand, are not regulated by the FCC. They are illegal in 9 states (others may follow suit eventually) but the laws have nothing to do with the FCC.

Laser jammers do work (quite effectively I might add). There are plenty of videos available showing just how well they perform in both controlled environments and in actual encounters with speed traps. The current jammers considered to be the best are LPP/AntiLaser and the Blinder series in that order.

All this information can be found on the net.

oh man that G8 (http://www.antilaser.info/index.htm) looks sweet! ... if is true is great...

anyone has order this or has one installed already?
Best combination is the V1 for Radar detector and the Blinder M20 (or M40 if you want to jam the lasser fomr the back as well) It will run you for about $400.

you cna find even some stealth tool to hide the jammer when is not in use. Pretty cool stuff

The Blinder is good...no question about it. But even the moderators at RadarDetector.net and the GuysofLidar agree the AL/LPP is the best on the market. It's a real shame the owner of the Blinder company has placed a legal block on anyone having a U.S. distributorship for the AL/LPP jammers.
