I was wondering if the dealer would buy it back or if there is a demand on E-Bay for them... its a brand new key (Already cut, so I know that has no value) and key-FOB. I know when I bought it, the unit was quite expensive, like $60 or so.

Any ideas on what I should do?

Chuck it. :dunno: I don't know what good it would be unless you can sell it to someone who needs one that has an infinity???

easiest way is to call them and find out
i wouldnt think so though.. unless maybe they got a used one that didnt come with it

Yeah, just called the dealer, and got transferred three times (because believe it or not, they didnt know what I was talking about??). Finally, I get someone who knows what a "Key FOB is... you know, the remote thing? No? OK, the thing with the unlock, lock, panic, trunk buttons on it? Yeah, that thing" :headshake:

So hes like, nah, we dont need it. (Ever get that feeling like your being blown off? heh)

Yeah, this is the same dealership that when I had my I30 I went to looking for "Infiniti" logo license plate frames and got this from their manager:

Me: "Hey, you guys have any Infiniti license plate frames?" (motioning towards the glass display with other crap in it)

Dealer: "Yeah, one sec" (Hands me those plastic ones that say the dealers name on them)

Me: "Oh, no, I'm sorry, I meant the chrome ones that actually say 'Infiniti' on them.."

Dealer: "Look, beggars can't be choosers, do you want these or not?"

Me: (floored!) "Uhh... ok.. thanks.."

Beggars can't be choosers? What a bunch of idiots. You could always CHOOSE to go elsewhere with your business.

As for the FOB, I doubt you'll be able to get anything for it even on ebay, because it will have to be programmed for the buyers car, which I'm sure would cost as much from Infiniti as buying a new one.

dealers really do not need things like that - we have a ton of extra remotes.

ebay is your best bet! If you need things from a dealer - plesae give me a call!

It's actually pretty easy to do Chuck. And thanks to Zach (Z-Salesman), the procedure is available on the site.

And eBay is a good option. My buddy has been trying to find a Honda one. He's found one guy selling it for $80. The demand for these is out there, sometimes you just need to find it
