Hi guys
Ive just finished up installing my K&N Typhoon and am not really that happy with the pod filter supplied in the kit
Its a typical pod filter but the end is covered. Something like this
screen.width*0.7) {this.resized=true; this.width=screen.width*0.7; this.alt='Click here to open new window';}" onmouseover="if(this.resized) this.style.cursor='hand';" onclick="if(this.resized) {window.open('http://www.usdieselparts.com/images/RT-4590.jpg');}" />
For those that havent seen one of these kits up close, there is a rather effective cold air pickup from the grille that goes straight into the airbox. The opening for the polished pipe on the airbox is only cms from the front of the pod filter. The polished pipe was ice cold after a 2 hour drive
screen.width*0.7) {this.resized=true; this.width=screen.width*0.7; this.alt='Click here to open new window';}" onmouseover="if(this.resized) this.style.cursor='hand';" onclick="if(this.resized) {window.open('http://www.activetuning.com/pat/4/4/i/28.jpg');}" />

[/url]
So im thinking a K&N inverted to filter would work a whole lot better. The air from the polished pipe would flow straight into the centre of an inverted top filter, rather than hitting a flat plastic end cap on the supplied filter
screen.width*0.7) {this.resized=true; this.width=screen.width*0.7; this.alt='Click here to open new window';}" onmouseover="if(this.resized) this.style.cursor='hand';" onclick="if(this.resized) {window.open('http://www.usdieselparts.com/images/RR-2801.jpg');}" />
What do u guys think, turf the supplied filter and buy the inverted top?
