I've decided that I'm going to continue the tradition of getting each tattoo in a different city. So next week, I will be sporting a new one. Any suggestions on shops that do artwork with walking distance of the Strip?
This place is the only one I can think of off the top of my head: http://www.hartandhuntingtontattoo.com/contact.html

Not sure of how good they are, or prices or anything... they just were the "in" place for a while. In any event, I wish you'd think twice about getting "Thumpa" tattooed on your lower back. But hey, it's your body.

Thanks, Ronin. That looks like a really nice place for artwork. I figure it's finally that time to get that tat for my 3rd son. It's going to be a monkey.

I was also thinking of getting one of the 4 horse men of the Apocolypse to represent me and my sons. :ahhh:

Sucks that you'll have to register for the site, but go to www.lvfbody.com and ask there. That's my Camaro/Firebird club. There's a few guys there with tats and at least one who does them. There's one guy there (goes by "FST01M6") named Brian that has many tats. He'll know where to go. As for Hart and Huntington, don't buy the TV show hype. They're alright, but there are much better and cheaper shops in Vegas.

EDIT: Forgot to add, my SN over there is the same as here.

:OMG: My wife loves Cirque. We make it a point to go see every show that passes through Minneapolis. And we used to live in Montreal.

...oh and avoid the blue man group
I loved them, but make up your own mind by renting their "Complex Rock Tour Live" video. I saw them for the first time a few months back in San Joe Za, CA, thought they were great.
The Rio, off the Strip, largest buffet in Vegas, the country maybe the world, awesome view from VooDoo Lounge (killer food there)

If you like seafood, there are two buffets there, forget the cheapy one and spring for the 25.00 one (which ever is more moo la) You will not regret it.

Do not pass up this offer! Great for the whole family. Tickets are pricey, but I would still pay top dollar to see one of these shows. I heard they were working on a Beatle's tribute show.

The "Carnival World Buffet" is in the main ("old") tower. It's alright. The "Village Seafood Buffet" is in the new tower. However, I don't think it's been $25 for several years. It's closer to $40 now I believe. It's worth it though. I know it's the only buffet in Vegas with lobster tails (although they are Australian Rock Lobster, not Maine Lobster). They might also have King Crab (other buffets have Snow Crab).

EDIT: Found a $10 off coupon for the Village Seafood Buffet. You have to buy the coupon for $5.99, but it's good for 4 people, so it's worth $40.:

If you go there, make an appointment. We swung by "The Palms" just to go inside and check it out last time we were out in Vegas. Sucks pretty much compared to the other casinos. There was a line w/ about 100 people just to go inside the tat parlor there and look. Not sure if they were charging a fee either.... Just FYI, reservations required for tats....

Too bad they have to mail you the coupons. I'm leaving in less than 2 days, and I already stopped my mail. Good find, though. Maybe I can have them mail it to the hotel?

Does everything in Vegas need a reservation or presold tickets? :wtf:

That's weird, when I went (roughly about a week or so before you, if I recall...) there was nothing going down there. :dunno:
And they told us they didn't take reservations, just first come first serve. But yeah, The Palms sucks ass. Seemed popular with the blue haired crowd though.

Blue haired... does that mean senior citizens? If so, why is there a popular tat shop in that hotel?

The Palms seems like a long walk from my hotel. No matter where I go, I will have to take a cab. Somehow, I'm leaning towards the one that's NOT in a hotel.

You must've been there at a strange time. The Palms is not very popular with the old farts. The Palms is where most of the out-of-town celebrities hang out. I run in to actors, singers, athletes (especially NBA) all the time there. They've got the new Playboy Club, The Ghostbar and Rain. You see alot of singers/rappers at Rain because the Palms has their own recording studio.

EDIT: SmoothZ, are you here now? Your OP said April 10-13. We've got a bunch of Z stuff going on this weekend. Check out that link I posted to ZDriver.com.

I can only take your word for it, since it is your town after all. I was there in June for a a bachelor party and one of the guys wanted to got by there to buy his a girl a tshirt from that tattoo shop. He knew all about the place and what not. We were there about 3-4 in the afternoon. The casino was pretty dead, just a couple packs of grannies on the slots. And 1 person was getting a tattoo with everybody else just standing around. So after listening to other people's stories, it seems like that was a rare/lost opportunity.

Yeah, I'm here now. I've seen a half dozen Z's including 1 PPW with a full body kit and TEIN splashed across the hood.

I was at the Palms yesterday. Nice place! Too bad that the tat shop is charging an arm and a leg for some art. So I decided that I would just watch a movie and have dinner at Gardunio's.

Having a family of 5 here in Vegas is kicking my ass and killing my account balance. WTF....

If it were just me and the wife, I would definitely stay at the Palms or Luxor or Bellagio. Tropicana is too old and doesn't have enough to keep us occupied.

So what's going on for Z's this weekend?

Well, I spent all afternoon on the south side of Vegas. Just bought a time share unit. We got our tickets to Tournament of Kings and a free cruise. w00t!

I saw a handful of Z's today, too. Don't know what's planned for tomorrow, but I think I'm about done spending $30+ for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
