I know this has been asked before and I don't mean to flog a dead horse but I have to ask. If cost was no object what would be the first performance item you would install. The only stipulation I have is that I want whatever I install to not degrade the reliability too much. If it causes a substantial increase in repair I don't want it on my car. Reliability is key here.

Thanks!

Reliability is relevant.. How much power do you want and we can talk about how to get reliability.. You want big numbers? then build the engine with a turbo kit.. you just want a little extra oomph, then do intake exhaust, and final gear reduction...

I am putting together a tech page kind of outlining a good approach for different power levels.. this should be ready next week so stay tuned..

start with a cold air intake.
this will add about 5 horse power to the car. good for a start
i recommend the INJEN cold air intake. polished looks nicer.

that would be the best to start with, and then the greed for more speed will lead you to install headers, planome, cats,etc....

Hey, he did say cost wasnt an issue.. :lmfao:

But I read a good quote on this forum once a while back, it was somethin like this:

If it's fast and cheap, it isn't reliable.
If it's fast and reliable, then it's expensive.

Wonder where you heard that? :rolf2: I used to have that in my signature. I have it on my cardomain.com page...

If it's fast and cheap, it isn't reliable, if it's cheap and reliable, it isn't fast. If it's fast and reliable, it isn't cheap.
