Two notes that may make this easier.

When removing the harness plug from the door jam plug, it helps to close the door to about half way to give you enough room to get it all the way out.

To make fishing the wire through a bit easier, push the whole rubber harness boot into the door so you can straighten it out, it will make it easy to get the zip tie through and pull your wire bundle.
