Great post Ernie...very useful and comprehensive for those Z owners interested in adding Forced Induction to their setup.
Very nice post. Great for research and fairly easy to follow (but not to swallow).
Very informative! Thanks for the post!

I'm gonna post a link to this in every thread that asks what you have to do to twin turbo a Z.

Very detailed write-up.
Thanks guys, I wish I had something like this when I started. Oh well, I hope others will benefit from my write up or at least ask alot more questions before they take the dive!

Good Point, this should be in the FI forum. Thanks for pinning it too!
For your contribution, I think everyone should buy you a beer. Or charge them a beer for everytime they want a ride.

Better yet, we'll all send you a dollar for your time to write this up.

When do you think you'll be driving the beast? I'm sure you'll post pics of the final product as it rolls out the shop.

Well, my beast is coming to life right now as I type. My engine and tranny were finally mated yesterday, boy they've missed each other...talk about "get a room!" So, my engine/tranny are going in as of this morning. SHOULD have her up and running by SATURDAY!!!

Pics to come shortly, break in period, then its dyno day! I am planning to video the last dyno run as the beast screams out at least 550+++rwhp. Actual rwhp, not corrected for this stratospheric place we call New Mexico.
Fantastic writeup Ernie. Thanks for the time spent writing that up. I know it will help out many to be F/I owners in the future!
Most Excellent Write Up Ernie! Thanks for your hard work, I hope you have a great time getting behind the wheel again! :shiftdrive:
Ernie...did you install a APS oil pan? If so...where did you purchase it?

Thanks...Kenny

Looking forward to reading about the first Vette that decides to take you on :lmfao: :lmfao:

It's the experiences of folks like you & KShep that make the roads of the future a little easier to travel by folks like me.

You're a nut...stay off of my roads.
Thanks a lot for this write up!!! I always try to talk myself into doing it the cheaper way and in the long run I would have probably busted my engine too. This form just help me realize that you can not cut coners if you want to DO THE TWINS RIGHT!!! Thanks a lot
Pls give me some very good and reputable machine shop that have worked and built a VQ-35DE. Names, tel or email of machine shop. I plan to built an engine.
No doubt, an excellent post. But I gotta say it, why not put the $20k down on a C6? It seems very complicated and expensive to squeeze even 100 whp out of the Z, and I just saw a $3k SC bolted on to a Hemi add almost 300 whp. Am I the only one wondering why? Don't get me wrong, I love my Z, maybe even more than a new vette, I'm just a little disappointed by the reality of this email.
