There's a good article in DSport magazine. After reading it and if HKS gets CARB approval then I'm sold. They made it a point to caution against getting any kit that makes above 380 whp without replacing the connecting rods.
I'm not sure it was a kit failure per say in that speedracer's description said the screw broke. Now if HKS provided a weak screw shame on them but I would also check w/ the people who installed the kit.
