I recently got a 2005 350Z base coupe. I was told that the stock top speed is 156mph. Well the car won't do more than 115mph when the little over rev light(may be speed limiter) comes on. Is there a governor and if there is how can I bypass it. Any help would be appreciated.

There's a toggle switch for you to adjust your rev limit light. A pic of it is in this thread: http://www.350z-tech.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9005

Or go out to your car. and on the right side of the steering wheel there are two silver bars (side of speedometer). The top is for scrolling. The first pod the reads out your mph digitally is where the rev's are.

Scroll through, it's the last set of numbers before you are back to mph. Then use the bottom to toggle through until 7,000 I think. That should make the light stop flashing. As for fuel cut back I think it's preset and you need to reflash the ECU to change it.

Here's another reference point for you as well:

when he hit 115....the shift light came on. i think he was thinking that it was a limiter....not just a shift light. :)

Sure, that's what it was.

You're supposed to SHIFT from 5th to 6th at 115, silly.

Even at 115 you should only be at close to the top of 4th gear or so :shiftdrive:
