I need some help please.

To cut a long story short I had to have an operation and haven't driven my car for three weeks, until today.

At first the car wouldn't run, it would kick over then stop. After a few goes it started and I let it idle for a couple of minutes.

Took off down the road for a drive around the block (as I'm still not supposed to drive for another three weeks) and the malfunction, slip and another light came on. The car the wouldn't rev beyond 1500 revs.

How the **** do I fix this please?

Thanks for any help!

Zuff, everything is fine thanks for asking. For those who would like know I had a donor nephrectomy.

I did actually ring my service guy and he said first of all to ring roadside assistance, they will come and pick the car up and tow it to him and he would sort the problem out. He then offered to send one of his guys out and fix it for me at home! How good's that.

I'm not supposed to be driving for another three weeks so I told him I would sort it out in the new year but I thought it wouldn't be anything major, hence my original question.

How do I reset the ECU again?

Thanks again for your help and concern.

SHIZZLE, my life is now complete! I have gotten you to write something nice.

Yeah, it was for my mother in law. Can you believe that ****!

Don't worry about the directions for resetting the ECU, I have found them elsewhere.

Thanks again guys.

BTW, the dont use stitches anymore. It was done all using keyhole surgery and I was then glued up.

Don't rightly know Shizzle.

I'll get our man to have a look at it when I take it in next.

Matt, the voltmeter was fine so I don't know about the battery?

Yes, your correct there has to be a pretty good match to be compatible.

For a number of reasons this has taken a couple of years to get sorted and I have had that many blood test and pissed in that many bottles it's not funny.

I wanted to have 1 last year of playing 1st division soccer, work **** and then finally the old chook had to have an operation to remove some glands that would have calcified the kidney and so on.

But, it has all worked out well. The old girl is pissing like a trooper and she is now at home recovering. The only thing she has to do now is look after the kidney the way I did and that's why she is on a strict diet of Toohey's Old and Tequila!!

Thanks again to everyone for all the kind words and thoughts
