picked up my z a few years back. it has on now, from what i could remember stock motor, 75mm throttle body from z1 just put on a month ago in search of the problem it is having. along with mishimoto rad fans. has a new maf and coolant sensor, not to far before that. before this problem i put on catless test pipes and y back muffler, has stoke manifold and y pipe. the problem is how can i put it, the car will idle cold and at temp. i could move the car under its own power when cold but when the car gets to temp, i cant touch the gas without the motor shutting off. and itll fire back up and idle again. whn for a different ecu this morning but it just cranks with the new ecu. so i put the old/stock one back in and fired it back up at temp and started pulling sensor and try and funnel down what it could be, got to the temp sensor pulled it and at less i could drive the car up the road and back now with out the motor shutting off. also relays are pulled for the fans a are jumped, any ideas what this could be? added no codes pop up when the motor shuts off.

Welcome and sorry to hear of your problem. But adding so many mods to your Z makes tracking down the problem difficult. Have you considered going back to stock configuration to determine which is causing the problem? Otherwise, you're faced with hiring a skilled tech to sort through the car as it sits.

I've never heard of adding a 75mm throttle body, Mishimoto radiator fans, test pipes or any of the exhaust mods you list helping a no idle situation. Who are the "ppl" you were getting advice from? How many miles does your '05 have? If the VQ35DE is shutting off without leaving any codes in memory, I'd concentrate on diagnosing the problem before adding ANY new parts.

do you know how to sync a ecu to the car? the car does idle, and found out that if i unplug the temp sensor, i could at least drive around. rpm are a bit jumpy and ruff which is interesting. i was told by a few different ppl. rad fans came from the stock one not turning on, was told the the coolant runs through the throttle body ( which is doesnt) and if it gets to hot that the tps will act funny, and the list goes. oh and the exhaust was before hand sound good tho! it has 190or so.

To properly match a ECM, you need a CONSULT3 system and a trained Nissan tech. Where are you located, and who are the "ppl" you keep referring to? Are any of them trained Nissan or ASE techs?
