Which one?

Motordyne, Skunk, AAM?
+1,
Which one? I hope it's the Motordyne. That way the REVUP engines can benefit from the MREV+.

Is "gangster" a good thing? I haven't been "hip", "cool" or "fresh" in a many years, hence my slang isn't quite up to par.

Yes, the Motordyne is definitely the "shiznit".

I'd like to know GB pricing to have it shipped to 14620 including the MREV+.

No, you're still not understanding. I'll let Josh take it, as I don't want to get any information wrong, but this is definately the spacer to buy!

This is the start of a project I have been working on for some time. All parts are design using 3D CAD software and CNC cut from the drawings. The kit will include:

1 aluminum alloy spacer 8mm
1 OEM gasket (for the top seal)
All stainless steel hardware (bolts, washers, etc..)
All necessary spacers for plenum and strut bar (cut from 8mm plate).
Detailed installation instructions (pictures, tools needed, torque specs...)

If the interest is large enough a different thickness would be possible (10-12mm). However the benefits are minimal past 8mm and you loose your OEM strut bar for those anyways.

Final pricing has not been finalized. Obviously it matters on how much interest there is. Guaranteed to be lower than 200$ and I *think* 160$ is achievable :)

Questions . . .

- is it an angled spacer?
- at what stage is this project in? Pre-production?
- are you making these spacers yourself or do you have a manufacturer?

I'm interested pending DYNO numbers and test results.

Not angled. This spacer will be 8mm flat and machined from a single piece of aluminum stock. The Motordyne is made from 2 pieces bonded together.

Currently the drawings are finished. I am just probing group buy interest right now. I am sending the drawing to the machine shop (all digital :) ) to get mine machined. Once it is done I will post pictures.

Fitment is guaranteed. I used a scan of the OEM gasket to generated the drawing.

You got me thinking, would like to see pics and results from the dyno as well. If the numbers work put my name on the list!
Pictures and more coming soon. No money will be taken until I am happy with everything and you guys are happy.

Here is the CAD image as a teaser.

If the spacer isn't angled, how are you going to fix the problem of the two front cylinders running rich?

It's my understanding that this issue led to the development of angled spacers (AAM, Motordyne) as they allow more air to the front two cylinders to lean them out somewhat.

Flat spacers have proven themselves to be beneficial. If the interest is there, an angled spacer can be cut from this design. The change is trivial, so tell me what you want.

I thought the MD was flat with MRev+ and MRev2 having hogged out runners on the lower plenum to increase front cylinder air flow. AAM may angle to help this just by adding a higher volume of air in the plenum than a flat spacer. I think the main reason for angling was to maximize the plenum volume gained while retaining the stock strut brace and stock lower plenum.

Interesting to see another go at it by an enthusiast.

INTERESTED! Need more info to comit though. And since everyone seems **** bent on the angled spacer idea such as Motordyne's I'm going to +1 it as well.

Any estimation on cost you could throw at us and some more info, will this be dyno'd before the buy? Would like to see an 06/revup dyno as well. I'd even test! Although I'm in Oregon...add me to the list if all goes as planned.

The Motordyne is not angled.

Pricing will be below 200$ and it will get lower depending on number in the group buy.

Again this is still early stages. I am ording my test one very soon, but I do need to know that there is enough interest to do this.

I don't necessarily know that the angle is required to fix the rich problem. Opening up the front regardless of angled or not would solve this issue.
