Do Z's have governors? I tried to take my Z past 95 and it stalled or it could have been that my RPM rev. limiter kicked in.

You probably just hit the rev limiter at the top of 3rd gear. Thats around where you will bounce off at and have to switch to 4th. The Z is rev limited in 6th at around 159 and many people on here have done it. I have done 146 myself.
