I am in Dallas and I just had a few things go wrong with my Z including a busted transmission and a jacked cam sensor at different times but within a month of one another. Anyways, I took my baby to Bankston Lewisville at first and they were lazy and not helpful, but when I took it to Bankston Nissan of dallas I met a guy named Keith Weirman(could be spelled wrong) that made my repairs as painless as possible. Got all the work done under warranty and they even vacuumed it for me, and would of been washed only it was raining.... SO from my experience, Bankston Nissan of dallas is OK! just talk to keith.

Good Dealership....Peoria Nissan in Peoria, Arizona. Their Fleet Department is great and they do not screw around. They worked with a friend of mine and he got a 2004 350Z for $750 below invoice, $4000 below sticker. He was pretty happy. I would recommend them to anyone. Ask for Nicki, she will hook you up!! :irock:
F yeah! Nicki hooks it up... I bought my 04 ZR from her a few months ago. She did try to bullshit me a lot during the negotiation process (saying crap like if she sold the car for under invoice she would earn negative commission) but that is somewhat expected of dealers. Anyway, after I bought the car she continues to take care of me. The salespeople can be shady but overall the dealership takes care of customers

Any of you IL guys had any experiences with McGrath Nissan in Elgin, IL? It's not that far from me.
Besides that, to anyone who ordered their Z brand-new, how long did delivery take? Do they check inventory for a match and add the options, or do they usually end up making it to spec at the factory?

Bad Guy List:
If I didn't mention it before -- Bommaritto Nissan in North County, Saint Louis, MO is the devil.

Three times for the gas cap TSB -- didn't fix it until I told them to fill up the tank, then they didn't fill up the tank just ordered the parts. Treated me like I didn't know jack about my FI car. Had to go back time and time again for the same problem. They never fixed anything the first time...

Why did I go back? Because they needed to fix their mistakes, and it was the closest place to work.

Good Guy List:
St. Charles Nissan, St. Charles, MO
Fixed all the crap that Bommaritto couldn't.
Replaced my jack after it bent and the car fell on it at home during a tire change.
Didn't make me come in and "take a look" for the TSB, just ordered my parts when I told them the story about Bommaritto, scheduled my appointment and took care of the girl.

Power Nissan in Gilbert, AZ. Their Fleet Department is awesome. Their service department however is full of lazy hacks. I have had my car in there 4 times and each time I got the car back I had to take it in again because they either "forgot" to do something, or screwed something new up. No more for me. I think I will try Pinnacle Nissan in Scottsdale next..... :xZ!o:

I bought my car in july from a place in Jacksonville Florida called Tillman Autosales and they were probably the worst place i couldve bought it from. They sold me my Z and it was a weeklong negotiation so i go pick it up and drive it 2hours home and it was day light when i test drove but when i get near home it gets dark and i go to turn the headlights on and they don't come on. i had to take my z to a dealer near me only to find out that the headlights had been removed along with my airfilter. the air filter was no big deal jus an excuse to put a KN in there, but the bi-xenons which are expensive were a big deal. I called the dealership i bought it from and they told me surely the headlights were stolen from my drive way the day i got it even though on the drive back they werent coming on. they told me to claim it on my homeowners insurance i told them i would call my attorney any way they are crooks.

Sorry to hear but, you should never buy a used car without first having a mechanic look it over. Live and learn.

On 6/28/08, I visited Tom Peacock Nissan on 15300 I-45 North in Houston ,Texas. I called first and spoke to a very nice man Bob B/Credit Union Fleet Manager&Internet Manager. He gave me dirrections and asked me to ask for him when I come in and he will show me the new 2009 Murano's. I have always wanted one it has been my dream car and my loving husband wanted to get it for me. I had been to several dealerships and was lied to and given false hope that I could get out of a 2 year old large SUV(which we all know large SUV are not selling). I made it to the dealership and as he promised Bob B. met me and did everything possible to get me in the car of my dreams. He was a nice christen man and being a christian women, I really appreciated having a christen salesman. The entire buying experience was nice. All the staff greeted you and treated you like family, not a customer. (Bob was a God sent) I don't know how their Dealership got put on the Bad Dealership list, but it definetly needs to be removed and put on the good Dealership's list.First I give all the glory to God for sending me to Tom Peacock's Dealership and secondly in the same order my beautiful husband and Bob B. So if you want good and honest Service, good interest rate for you and not the Dealerships pocket , go to Tom Peacock Nissan! Blessed wife Angie! :yourock: Tom Peacock / Houston , Tx

BAD GUYS!!!! TOM PEACOCK NISSAN Houston, TX

I gave these guys a second chance and they just ruined it. The first time I took it in it was for the tire issue and some other work. They argued with me about replacing my tires for a second time for two days. I set them straight! On that visit they had to order a special order item and it just came in today. So I take it in during my lunch break today and ask how long it will take and they say only a few minutes, so I wait. 30 minutes goes by and the service advisor tells me it should be done in a few minutes, I waited for another HOUR and THIRTY MINUTES and they finally bring my car to me. The advisor apoligized for the wait and then tells me the part was wrong. These guys suck and continuously lie.
especially the way the treat customers (copied from another Nissan Forum)

I was in the process of completing my enlistment in the USAF while my wife moved here to houston ahead of me. We owned a 04 Nissan 350Z which we couldn't afford with me getting out of the military. My wife decided to go to Tom Peacock Nissan in May to trade it in for another car. They showed her a couple of used cars and one was an 02 Nissan Altima. She decided to go with that one since Nissan is a good brand of a car. A friend of ours went there to give the car a quick look over (he's not a professional mechanic) and both my wife and him asked the dealer whether the car had any problems or anything done to it. Any accidents. The guy told them to their faces "Nothing major,
just a paint job. Everything is fine with it." So she put $5,500 on the Z to make up the difference emptying our savings in the process and went on her merry way. Well, a couple days later the check engine light comes on so she takes it to Tom Peacock to get it checked out. They told her that it was nothing, just that it needed to be reset. That it happens a lot. This happened 4 more times afterwards, each time being told it's nothing. Even the passenger door didn't close properly anymore. She took it to Autozone to have it hooked up to a machine and it came up with cylinder misfire. As well as the front 2 tires were constantly loosing air and were bald. She kept calling to speak with a manager only to be sent to a answering machine every time. Even Johnny Smith, the guy in charge of the dealership, never returned her calls. The breaks have began to squeak a month later and that's just the little part of this mess. A few months later the A/C has stopped working, as well as the heater, and the car was sputtering once in a while. Now it's December and the light is still on. We planned on taking it in earlier but due to the hurricane and the work schedules we haven't been able to. Today we took it to Mossy Nissan off of I-10 to get it checked out by them. Sure enough they came back with a list of problems which was going to amount to almost $1,000 in repairs. Then the guy looked at me and said did you know this car was in a major accident? I said no I didn't. They told us nothing was wrong with it. He said the right side of the car was hit because there are brand new pannels on there and the headlight housing is completely replaced. We called Tom Peacock, knowing how oh so helpful they've been in the past (now we know why... they sold us a lemon), wanting to find out what they plan to do about it. The guy pretty much just laughed at us and said, "We sell as is, Not my problem anymore." and then he hung up. They are the most unprofessional and rude people I have ever met. I honestly think if Nissan knew the kind of people they have representing them, they would be ashamed. Please do yourself a favor and do not buy any cars from these backshop professional wanna be salesmen. Instead head to Mossy Nissan. They took our P.O.S. car and traded it in for an 06 Nissan Altima. They paid all but $1,500 of the remainder of the car loan we had on the 02 and gave us an aditional $1,500 off of the new 06 Altima.
they stay on the bad list as far as i am concerned

Fact #1: You drive a Murano, and not a Z. Yet you came drectly to the Z Forum to fight on behalf of this obviously crap dealership.

Fact #2: You're a good, christen (sic) woman, who was thrilled to deal with a good christen (sic) salesman. However, when you posted this, you should have been at church.

Fact #3: You added the dealership, and address into your profile, yet added not one keystroke of additional information.

Fact #4: You felt so strongly that this crap dealer needed vindiction, you sent the post VIA the "Report to Moderator" button.

Fact #5: I will now make sure your dealership gets the worst treatment possible, and would urge anyone online, or at church.....to never, ever, buy a car, or get one serviced at your dealership.

Fact #6: You're done on Z-Tech.

Any experience with performance nissan in duarte? I got my car there, and am curious about their service.
I am sorry if it bothers members that I post here on the Z forum since my current Nissans are a Maxiam and a Altima, I have owned Z's in the past and if another decent 240 comes along I will have another one.

ambigu0us I am glad to hear you had good luck with St. Charles Nissan and I hope it stays that way for you. My experience with them has not been so steller. I live a couple miles from St. Charles Nissan so they are the first Nissan dealer I turn to for parts or when looking for new Nissan every 10 or so year. I will buy parts from them but I won't let them service my car and I won't buy a car from them.
1) We bought a new Maxima in 1997 after shopping we ended up at another Nissan dealer becuase the saleman at SCN was pushy and the price was to high.
2) Had them install a spoiler on the 97 Maxima the year we bught it. We had to take it back to them twice besause of poor fitment.
3) In 2002 my daughter asked me to go there with her to look at used cars. First off the salesman would not acknowledge her much and kept addressing me even after he was told I was just there to support her. He also spoke to her in a tone that whe was dumb to expect a car ni the prioce range she set and told her good luck. She went down the street and buought a car that day.
4) This year we bought a 2008 Altima. We talked with two salemen, one was rood and the other knew less about the car and how it could optioned than we did. And they were not willing to deal much on the price.
We ended up at Bommarito Nissan and bought the car we wanted for $4,500 less the SCN was offering us. I called Bomarrito and ended up talking with Dustin Olsen. I told him what we wanted on the car and the price we wanted. I also told my wife wanted to see a silver, slate and grey version decide what she liked best. Then I told him about our concern with only being able to get black leather and all black interior with the exterior color choice my wife had. When we got there Dustin had slate, grey and silver Altimas parked next to each other and he had a different leather option that addreses our issue with a solid black interior.

I do return there becuase the parts department has been fine, they have never done anything terrible enough to drive me away and there is enough time between my trips to buy cars that I want to see if the sales department has changed.

I hope this does not come off as a diss to one or endorsment to another dealer it is simply my expereince with these two dealers in contrast to the experience ambigu0us has had with them.

Worked at Bankston NISSAN Lewisville when I bought my car. Would recommend consulting with someone who has worked in the industry before signing anything at any car dealership out there.

The service manager at Bankston Lewisville is a nice guy who used to race Z cars. Has always been helpful with my stupid questions.

After I left car sales (a 3 month career haha) I bought my wife a Sentra SE-R. Found the available inventory on Nissanusa.com and then called dealerships within 50 miles and near family in Austin. A guy at Southpoint Nissan in South Austin TX offered $500 over cost so we picked up our other Nissan while down there.

Buyer beware: If you negotiate a seemingly great deal from the salesperson/manager you are likely to get pressed harder by the Finance dept. I have overheard many comments from sales to finance behind closed doors: "Add a few percent to the rate on this one for me" or "make sure we make up for this skinny deal on the backend"

On low margin deals the finance dept can make more profit off of you than sales did selling the car.

I suspected in my short time working at the dealer I was victim of this practice of adding interest over what I qualified for when I bought my Z. Im paying for it now...
