Going to the track today!

So this will be my first time w/the Z at the track. I'm just wondering if anyone has advice for me, like what RPM to launch at, etc.

I've been to the track many times before - just w/my old car (turbo'd integra), so I'm just looking for tips specifically w/Z's

Thanks for your help!

What track? If it's drag racing, there are a few pointers out there.

1. Switch off your VDC,
2. Try avoiding the water they spray as you're staging,
3. Feather the clutch and gas instead of dumping,
4. Lower your tire pressure a bit (25-30psi),
5. Rev it to around 2200-2500 (seems the most popular range),
6. Bring helmet, pants, and friends,
7. Friends are assigned to sit on spare tire and other wt saving issues,
8. Make sure you have about 1/4 tank of gas,
9. Finally, have lots of fun and enjoy the adrenaline rush!
Thanks for the advise - it is drag racing.

The RPM range is a lot lower than I would have thought - Integra's w/big turbo's need to be revved up.

I won't be doing any weight reduction this time - plus made the mistake of filling the tank the other day.
Well, you won't have to worry about turbo lag. I was surprised at the torque and spinning tires when I launched, but there were many factors involved in that problem. I had half a tank, too. Plus, the track has traction issues (it's crappy).

Oh, make sure you have friends there to take pics! We're mentally challenged around here and need visual aids...
