Okay, I'm about to make a 2,000+ mile road trip in my Z for Zdayz. That number is total round trip miles. However, the most I put on her in 1 day was around 200 miles and that was to a drag strip in WI where I played for the day.

I thought the Z did a great job in the comfort zone. It was smooth sailing the whole time. I loved the  I got from other travelers on the road, plus I got a challenge or two (which I did not feel like taking up).

So post up your stories and experiences with your 'baby' and overall impressions.

Most that I have done is about 230 miles one way. For Zdayz its going to be about 680 miles one way. Cant wait!!
I have made 2 trips from St. Louis to Chicago and one from St. Louis to Memphis, I think all 3 trips are around 700-800 miles. I have made the trip to Chicago a lot and the only time it was more comfortable was when I was driving and F-150.
400miles one way several times.. **** texas is huge :)

You ain't lyin'! :rolf2: I've done it once (that I can remember, and not in the Z). Still, we haven't seen anyone post big numbers.

When I had my Z32, I drove from San Diego to Albuquerque, then onto Minneapolis, then back through the Dakota Badlands, Grand Tetons, Idaho, Utah, Las Vegas and on down to SD again. That was about 5000 miles (if I remember correctly). The kicker was as soon as I got back, I found out I got my transfer to Montreal, so I drove across the country again in 3 weeks. That time I did it in my Honda Accord with the wife and 2 dogs. :faint:
My numbers are far less impressive. I went about 500 miles round trip in the Z
furthest i've driven is from a suburb of boston to jersey (brunswick area). that's why i only have 15K on the car and it's 2 and a half years old. :)
Yo Smooth - I've been @4,500 miles (from OH to SC with a side trip up to Atlanta) Space is a bit tight in the roadie but we were able to pack for the two of us for the 10 days or so that we were on the road. Be ready to be a "bit" sore - 10+ hr stretches will be the worst part of it (grinning all the way I might add)
Well, in about a week and a half my wife and I are going to be driving from home (Tn.) to L.A., stay out there for a week then driving back. I can't wait! I love road trips and I am kinda curious on how the Z will rank in comfort. I think it will be somewhere in the 5000-6000 mile range round trip.

2000 miles round trip. Bristol Tennessee to Houston during Easter weekend. I was comfortable the whole time.
i'd love to drive cross country....but, probably not in a z. i'd rather do it in a more comfortable car. :) but, driving the z on all the open roads....i could deal with it....it would be a lot of fun.

(not that the z is uncomfortable....but, if i'm driving 6K miles there and back...i'd rather have one that's more comfortable)
Most miles on a road trip so far would be around 225 miles. ZdayZ will be 664 one way so I'll probably be lookin' to stretch a few times on the way down.

And your gas mileage! :OMG:
The longest trip I've done was Sydney -> Adelaide -> Melbourne -> Sydney. It was around 4200km in total, that's 2609miles. The longest stretch is Sydney to Adelaide, that was around 1500km+ or roughly 1000miles. After I got out of the car I've felt like one of the astronauts coming back from space to earth. I've forgot how to use my legs (not being able to feel them didn't help)! Later on I made sure to make frequent stops and go for a run to get the blood circulating again.

Yeah that is one thing I don't want to see. Premium here in Johnson City, Tn. is around $2.20, and that is cheap from what I understand it is on the West Coast.
My longest trip to date is 415 miles one way in just over 6 hours and I averaged 30mpg. That included a quick look at 135 to put a SC Grand Prix in it's place. :burnout:

I just filled mine up for $2.159 per gallon. It's been worse, but I go through a tank every 1.5 weeks or so.

:rolf2: :lmfao: :shiftdrive:

You should measure how many miles it is from your place to mine. Unless you work in the Cities.
We've done the round trip from Bentonville, Arkansas to Reedsburg, Wisconsin twice in the Z to visit the parents. It's about 1,500 - 1,600 miles round trip.
Once north of Kansas City, there's no traffic until Des Moines. No cops either!
