Hello, I don't have a Z yet but I will by the end of summer. I have some questions from people who know more than me, though.

I am deciding between 35th Anniversary and the Touring. Are there benchmarks anywhere for the two? (1/4 mile, 0-60, 0-100, and so on). I want to see how much better the 35th is. The Nissan site is good for some info but nothing like this. Because although I want the nostalga of the anniversary edition, I want to make sure I'm getting that much more car as well. I'm not poor but I'm not rich either. If I can save a few thousand, I'll take it. But I don't want to regret not getting the 35th later, either.

I just got a big promo at my job a few months ago, but unfortunately I have a number of debts to pay off before I get my Z. But by the summer it shouldn't be a problem.

Anything else I should know let me know. Hopefully I'm talking to the right crowd. If I'm not posting this in the right place, please direct me, I am new here after all.

Seeing as how the 35th Anniversary Edition was just made available this month, I don't think there are any stats available for it. I'm guessing, though, that the increase in horsepower is cancelled out by the decrease in torque. If you plan to go F/I, the Anniversary Edition may be worth the money as I believe Nissan changed quite a bit of the internals. If you don't, or would rather do that yourself, the Anniversary Edition is probably like every other anniversary edition car: an easy way for a manufacturer to mark up the price of a car

I personally don't think the anniversary edition is anything special. You're not getting enough "extra" car for the thousands. You might see a couple of horsepower, but not anything worth busting your butt over.

The wheels do look awesome though. Do you plan on modding your Z?

Let us know if you have any specific questions. You did come to the right place.

Welcome zlegend! Good move planning out your ride in advance - This will allow you to get quite a bit of info on which Z to buy. Ultimately, the choice is up to you on what model is going to make you happier but personally I would save the extra $ and buy a Touring, even a Performance if you're looking at modding down the road.

I bought the Track model and am now itching for new wheels. I'm stuck on this since the Rays Alloys contributed big time to the price of the car and if I knew this ahead of time I probably would have gone with a different model.

The aniversary might just give you bragging rights.. I doubt you will see any performance difference.. I dig the wheels though, but you could have some sweet rims for the several thousand extra you will save...
