FINALLY, I HAVE BEEN READING UP ON ALL THE Z FORUMS THIS SUMMER IN ANTICIPATION OF MY Z. NOW THAT I AM GOING OFF TO COLLEGE (ucla) I AM GETTING MY CAR. EVEN THOUGH THE Z DOES SEEM TO HAVE AN AWFULLY LARGE AMOUNT OF LITTLE PROBLEMS ITS CLEAN LINES AND DEPENDABLE ENGINE WON ME OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any reccomendations on southern california shops would be helpful.

Funny, but in my day something like a Z in college was unattainable unless you were: A dope dealer, a pimp, an athlete on the take, or a rich, spoiled brat. Not that I'm saying you're one of them at all. Back then, minimum wage was around $4/hr, so it was tough to shell out that kind of money AND pay for college, even with a scholarship. Also, I think young adults are much more focused, educated, and fiscally responsible then 20 years ago. Maybe the parents learned something and passed the wisdom on?...

Congrats on going to UCLA and getting a car that will be a hit with the ladies!

Z's look pimp regardless of the color, but good idea with the HID's. Personally, if you're going to mod your car at all I think the enthusiast trim package is the best. Gotta have those HID's and everything else that the other trims offer can be had aftermarker for less money.

Good luck with the new car, and don't sweat all the little problems. Most of us only have one or two of these many problems, and if you're going for a 2004.5 model you should be in the clear for most of them.

Welcome to the boards!
