I know I live cold area (Ohio), it snow, rain, and cold wind. Many times, when I want to fill the tank with gas, my tank cover part stuck :banghead: due to ice or snow inside. I always have to use my key, or some think sharper to remove that ice or snow.

One solution for me is not to drive my Z in winter, however this is the only car that I have now, and this time of the year small thing just bugs me a lot. Does any one had same issue, and any solution to solve this problem??? Should I get some after market gas tank cover???

Hmmmmmmmm I am in Pittsburgh right now and have not had that problem w/ either car ( I just got another car to drive in the winter after the first winter lol) but I would think that would be a hard thing to deal w/.....Maybe get a microfiber towel and wrap it around what ever you are using to get the ice off? I wrap a MF mitt over my snow brush to get the snow off my winter car so as not to scratch the finish....OR you could wrap the "de-icer implement" with some painters tape (the blue tape) so that your finish won't get marred....Other than a blow torch I can't imagine what could melt that ice for you...maybe one of those hand warmer things that you put in your gloves???? I feel your pain, I will ask Punxatawny Phil to see his shadow on wednesday! :wavey:

I had this problem last year, but someone posted a "how to" - I adjusted minimally and have not had the issue recur.

jinxxy - talk to phil and have him put on his sunglasses so he doesn't see his shadow - tired of winter already!
