What does this little J&S Safegaurd unit do? How does it help out the Z?
Wow - that is an excellent price! Retail is over 650$.
The Safegaurd is the absolute best knock control on the market. Look in Maximum Boost - it's featured. I have one for my turbo 280 - they do individual cylinder ignition retard. J&S has excellent customer service as well!

The J&S Safeguard senses detonation if your air/fuel ratio becomes too lean and retards the timing. This saves you from an expensive engine rebuild. It's use is particularly appropriate with f/i.
