How much do these things cost new? Do you still have them?

New = over $160, not including shipping. I paid $200 including shipping when they were on sale.

How loud are test pipes? Harley Loud? Civic Fart Pipe Loud? Mustang Cobra Loud?

I have been thinking about getting these... they are bolt on, correct, not weld on (for inspection days :D)/

They are bolt on. They aren't loud for most, just for some. They are only louder than stock when you step on it hard. They are great for those of us (like me) that love the stock sound, but want it a little louder.

No, it's definitely not as loud as any of the things you listed by far.

Well the mod bug is starting to bite, and test pipes arent too expensive. I think soon I may get and intake, and test pipes, along with some coils. Then to save up for an exhaust, then headers.

But **** rims are so $$$$$. Maybe if I get a good tax rebate, which I wont I am sure.

Yeah the mod bug has bitten hard.

I would like to add some grunt to the Z, something that if I hit on it, I can wake up the guy in the lane next to me, I dont mind driving around with some growl.

You just need to find somebody like ME who's constantly changing his mind and selling things at a loss. My Borla headers are listed for under $300 and I'm thinking about selling my 20" rims......
