When I was in the Air Force, back in the summer of 2000, I think, I was stationed at RAF Mildenhall, UK, and my Squadron went down to S. Africa to in the flood relief down there. I wanted to go so bad, and my supervisor didn't want to go, but they wouldn't let me take his place. I was so disappointed.

My buddies said it was hotter than **** down there. Said it took them liek 24 hrs to get set up when it usually only takes about 4 - 6 hrs, because of how slow the heat made them and they kept having to take breaks. Still, I would liked to have gone with them.

I've been reading up about the 350z for about a year, on internet as well as various boards, got mine in April 2004 - however, havent seen any others on the boards from South Africa

Great car - I'm in love and check boards every day

Usual problems - tyre feathering; window motor; stiff, grinding transmission

Usual BS from dealers

Still love it!

I got mine in March '04, havent experience any problems except for the windows only go down about half their distance when i open the door. but it doesn't hit the window from, so until it gets worse, i'm no worse for the wear.

Welcome to the boards! I visited South Africa back in the summer of 2000. It's a beautiful country and I plan to go again sometime.

i think by now about 500 350z's must have been sold here - its been rated best-seller in its class!

Good to see a fellow South African on this board, Im from Pretoria (close to Johannesburg). I recently got myself a 2007 350z Roadster, loving every minute of it. I had been looking for a while to get one in good condition with low mileage and eventually drove down to Cape Town to fetch it. This car is a dream to drive with the top down and through the mountain passes along the coastline of Cape Town, such an experience!

Another South Africa here. My second 350Z Roadster, unfortunately had an undesirable meeting with a wall on the first. After that I got myself a Suzuki SX4 and just wasn't the same. Had to get my hands on another 350Z.
