I went to the drag strip yesterday with some buddies. Very odd combination of vehicles, my Z, two Z28 Camaros, and a 07 Dodge 2500 Diesel. It was really hot that day, like 95, but when we got there it had cooled to 85.

Mod List:

350Z:
NISMO CAI, 19" wheels with NITTO NT555 275 on the rear (brand new)

Silver Z28:
I think he has some built internals, not for sure. Best run was a 12.86 I think.

Blue Z28:
Same as above. High 12's I believe

Dodge:
Intake, exhaust, and programmer. He ran like a 15 something.

I only ran twice the whole time. It was first day at the track and I didn't want to break anything and I didn't know what the track felt like. The first time I was just testing it out. I skipped the water box, launched at like 3000rpm's I think. I wheel hopped real bad, don't even remember my times for the first run.

My second run was much better. I done a burnout this time. I slipped the clutch a little make sure I got a good take off. Here are my times:

Reaction .580

60 foot 2.224

1/8th mile 9.317

1/8th mph 77.675

1/4 mile 14.346

1/4 mph 96.873

About average for an almost stock 350Z. I'm just proud that she held together. She has just over 80,000 miles on her. She done a good job, haha.

Oh yeah I did beat the 05-06 Mustang GT beside me. He had a better reaction time, but I beat him in everything else. He ran a 14.596 at 94.268mph. I think he was stock.

I wish I had some pics or videos but I don't. Let me know what you think or any modifications that I can do to put me into the 13's. :shiftdrive:

Nice runs I just went the other day and got a 14.1 but that was in 95 deg heat lol and untuned .

With basic boltons and a tune.. And a lot of practice you should get into the 13's easily

^^ agreed the 60' can kill you time but with those nittos you shouldnt have a problem hooking up. Reaction time means nothing unless you are racing the person next to you/in bracket racing.

EDIT- ohhh yeah and LOTS OF PRACTICE

You can lower your R/T if you start learning to anticipate the green light...at my local dragstrip .000 is perfect...I'm down to almost triple 0's on my race and street bikes, just by timing the light bar...launching and the 0-60 are very important for faster 1/4 mile times...as with anything, practice makes perfect...I don't know how your strip works, but at mine, if you get there right at open, you can make a sh*tload of runs before it gets really busy...on my bikes, I can get close to 12 or 13 runs (one right after another) before it starts backing up at the staging area...have fun...

oh yeah it wouldn't take much to get into the 13's. I just have to practice some more.
