Yes, you read that right, WINDOWS. Some of you might know me from other forums and for others I am a complete stranger. I thought I would share some pics of my old block and my newly machined block. I broke rod #2 after having my GReddy TT kit on for about a month. When the rod broke, it put two holes in the block, damaged the girdle, cracked a piston, and both the upper and lower oil pan.
The good news, I chose to rebuild my engine with the finest parts out there with forged internals. After this post, I have one more so please bear with me.
First pics of the new VQ-35DE block that has been machined, balanced, and with ARP main studs installed.
Take note how an intact engine looks and my next post will be the carnage.
Note intact girdle. The piece of metal that goes around and provides lower support for the crankshaft. Here you see it with the studs.
