I know that there have been quite a few people that have wanted some clear lenses to replace the amber ones that come from Nissan in the headlights (me being one of them)...so, I wanted to gauge interest again. I might be able to get some made, but haven't checked into it beyond just having the thought.

I just cleared mine tonight, and there definitley needs to be some sort of lens put back in that place in order to disperse the light down the side of the headlight housing. So, I thought I might press forward with getting some made if the interest was there from everyone else as well.

I've got a poll going over at motoring, so if you could vote there, that would be a centralized count. I don't want two polls going as that might could people twice.

Man good luck with doing this. Myself and Conceyted tried calling around many places for this and to no avail. They want outrageous prices to make a mold or an injection for these things. Hope you have better lucjk than we did with this. If so I am all for it. In the meantime to keep that light from shining through the exposed hole I would definately just take it out for the time being.

Yeah, I was talking with Conceyted about it a while back. I told him how I was making the Zignalz and let him know I would try to do the same with these. The problem is that they are too big for me to work with, so I would have to have them made by a manufacturer. I found one that is pretty reasonable around here that is going to be doing the Zignalz, so I thought I'd inquire about these also.

If you and Conceyted want to do this jointly, let me know and I'll fill you in on what will be required as far as costs go and all that. These should be pretty easy to punch out of the plant. The quote I got on the Zignalz was for 1000 of them and they could be made in 11 hours. The molds would be able to make 1,000,000 too...so, I think that is MORE than enough...lol. These lenses are very thin, so that means less material used which will lower the cost as well. Plus, nothing else will need to be done to them after they are stamped-out. Just pick'em-up and shipp'em-out.

you might want to check in with ares over on the my350z.com forum. He has already done this. Mostly, he made clear sidemarkers as is suggested by this thread. I actually bought some that were more of a "milky white" to match the white JDM sidemarkers that are available.

The pieces are very well done, but I think they only did a short run of them.
