Go with the +22 to be safe. The higher the offset, the worse it will look and you 'might' rub.

I agree that going with 18's for the track is smart since tires can get pretty expensive. Some people track on 17's because that's even cheaper for tires and might save some weight.
Cool, that's what I was thinking. The only thing is...i live in Hawaii, a state where you have to pay to have your car inspected for "safety" every year...so that you can register it...every year. Things like excessive window tint and wheels buggin out of the wheel wells will fail you. On top of that, if you want to modify your car beyond a certain extent, you have to have a "reconstruction" permit. The whole system is utter BS and I really don't want the hassle of getting a recon permit. They even fine you if your recon permit doesn't include all of your mods on it, and you have to pay for every update you make. So to skirt the whole thing, I think I'll just save my current wheels/tires and throw em on once a year for safety/reg time! And if I get caught without a recon...the fine is smaller than the one you get if you have one but it's not accurate! Sorry for the off topic rant...but it kills me. Anyway thanks for the advice and quick response.

Oh, and I thought about going all the way down to 17s, but I'll admit I want the middle ground between looks and performance...at least on the wheels...

Wow, that's crazy. Remind me never to have a cool car in HI. I'll just buy a Porsche GT2 and be happy with its performance.

18*8.5 +20/+40 245 FRONT
18*9.5 +20/+40 275 REAR
Should I get the same offset for front and rear? like all positive +30. What does it affect if I choose +20 or +40 in this situation? Any cost and benefit from choosing different offset?
Alternatively, if I choose 19" the offset would be different right?

I was searching but did not find the right information.
I am wearing OEM wheels and tires.

Front: 18x8.0 +30 225/45/18
Rear: 18x8.5 +33 245/45/18
with OEM Brembo breaks!!! No lowering, no wheels spacers, just standard height :)

I would like to have OEM size - wheels and tires, but looking for different offset for 18 wheels. What is the best offset and width for 225 and 245 tires? I do not want 19 wheels or more.

Front: 18x? +? 225/45/18 - I want only this tire size :)
Rear: 18x? +? 245/45/18 - I want only this tire size :)

I have found this - click here
OEM tires: 225/45 - 18 front and 245/45 - 18 rear (659x225mm / 677x245mm). Bolt pattern: 5x114.3 (5x4.5). Offset: 20 to 35 mm. Tires up to 679x245mm (front). Rims up to 20x8.5" (front).

So, if I choose 18x8.5 wheels max. offset is 20 to 35 mm for 225 and 245 tires size?
Thanks for help.
