I'm replacing my clutch in my '06 z and, well I got a clutch kit that happened to come with a flywheel, a single mass one, I understand it is possible to use single mass flywheels, but when my mechanic put it in & drove it he said there was burning at like 30 mph. Is this just because of the, most likely, sh** flywheel or do I need a dual mass? I would like to use a single mass so if anyone has put one in that worked well can you let me in on the secret?
Anyways, thanks. And sorry I'm used to much older cars that don't have all this stuff.
Have you driven the car, or just your mechanic? I recommend you check it for yourself. A single mass flywheel should work fine in your car. I suspect the installation wasn't done properly.
