Anyone good with fiberglass or urethane?

I think I may have found some side skirts for my car at a discount. They are the originals used to make a mold for fiberglass replicas. I don't know what the process is for making a mold, but when its curing, it contracts. Could that distort the original parts in any way?

Just out of curiousity, why would you want to make a mold of your OEM part? Am I understanding you correctly?

And to answer your question, I believe you'll notice some 'changes' to your stock skirts.

OH no... I found someone selling aftermarket side skirts that belonged to a kit. However, they are being offered at a discount because they were the originals used to make a mold for replicas.

I wanted to know if those original side skirts would be in good condition after everything they have been through.

if the sideskirts get banged up alot, you'll start to see cracks along the lines of where it was molded.
