Anyone here have a noisy dash kit?? On a smooth road, its great. But if you can find a smooth road in all of NYC, I'd be impressed - so - how do I quiet this thing down?? Its in there tight and all, just the kit is made of plastic so its pretty noisy.

Any ways to quiet it down?? I really wasnt lookin forward to takin my dash apart.. but oh well..

are you talking about an aftermarket headunit installation kit? (metra?)

if so, you can stuff some styrofoam in between the radio and the lower pocket (on the backside.)

Yeah, I think the one I have is called like, "turbo kit" or some cheeziness name like that.. looks great, but rattles like a SOB over bumps.

Would dynamating the whole kit work?

there is a gap on the backside between the radio and the lower plastic "pocket" the pocket is probably hitting the radio.. i have seen this happen many times.. youcould use foam, tape, hot glue, or dynamat..
