Custom Z Logo Sub Cover

Okay I have the option of making a Aluminum 2pc Sub Cover for 10" or 12" Sub Woofer. It would consist of the ring and the Z Logo which would attach to the ring , these will be Custom made pcs and can be painted to match the Color of your car or possible any interior color ( as close as possible) my problem is I don't know if their would be any interest in proceeding with this as it is not a $100.00 item , but if any of you are doing any type of High Custom Interior work this might be something for you. This is just a feeler at this point, tell me what you think:)

this as it is not a $100.00 item

what kind of $$$ are you looking for?
Start up costs require that I have 4 sets ordered and I am looking at around $250.00 US . Like I say not for everyone .
yikes. people usually take a loss on things to get the word on the streets about it...to show it off...to get it to be seen. you seem like you're covering all of your costs by charging so much. they're cool though. i hope they sell.
Thats a cool idea. I would be intrsted in seeing them if they are done. Will the cost drop after the initial make? I also like the ones that were shown on Overhauled where when the bass hit they spun like spinners on the rims.

i dont blame her for covering her costs... who wants to lose money on something they sell, thats not quite the point of buisness nor this product. like she said she doesnt see the market too high for anything like it. and with that said doesnt except the market to grow, why would she sell for less?
Well how much of a loss am I suppose to take and when you are talking about Machine Shop design time and materials this isn't exactly a High Volume pc. This what I mean Custom Work for Custom Applications and yes maybe if I get any orders the price would go down but like evrything else you have to start somewhere. Also about Covering costs barely 10 points is all I get out of this

is terry was a male (that's what it says that in the profile)?

but, if the market isn't too high...why make it? yes, no one wants to lose money on something they sell...but, in business...that's not usually the way things work (start off selling high to cover your costs that is). but, i guess it's all different in different scenarios. i'm just used to high tech software sales....where you always take a hit to get the company name out...get a few big customers...then the price goes up. i had a million dollar deal with t-mobile that i gave to them for 100K when my company just started...just to get them as a customer. but, having them as a customer is very credible...and will bring me bigger customers. ok...enough of the tangent. ha-ha.

is it going to cost you 1000 to make 4...or 1000 for them to make the template and use the machines and get the materials? if you can't get 4 people to pay 250...but you can get 12 people to pay 100...well, you've covered your costs and you've spread the word around more. you just have to figure out what people's threshold is. and, personally, i think the 250 mark is too high. 150...i'm sure people would spend that type of money...250...too high in my opinion.

but, good luck selling them. i think they're cool.

This is a photo of mine , and would look similar but no curve on the Z it would go Flat across and be in 2 pcs , where this is one solid pc

i like that set up....looks nice and clean.
That's badass! I'd fork over a few hundred for the pair. Especially if I were to start showing the car.
Yes I agree with you , this is a feeler stage that is why I posted this to get some feedback from Members , thanks for the info.
