Here are some pics of my custom blue ultra suede interior install in progress. Next step is headliner and door panels with black leather and center console. Then black leather and blue ultra suede seats and finally a black leather dash. Also included are two pics of my engine bay. Critiques and comments are welcome!

Hi gdwisni, I like the look. Did you remove each panel and glue on the fabric (suede)? From your experience would excessive heat/sun in the car have any effect on the suede, like fading or coming apart? I may be interested in possibly doing door panels and some triming in suede also. nice job, keep up the good work!

Nice job! I think I would have worked my way from front to back however... a la Koennigsegg style. I wouldnt care much what the trunk looked like.

So how much was it to do that?? Id like to do that up front (in black of course).

Freestyle, thanks glad you like it. I actually did not do the upholstery work myself but had a local uphoster do it since I have a major lack of sewing skills. The material used was a microfiber which is very durable and will stand up to wear and tear and sun very well. Even though this is true I will probably end up tinting my windows which well help against sun even more. Yes they were adhered to the panels but with padding added first to give it a richer feel. Also as you can tell I have removed my spare tire so now I have more storage room when my sub box is not in place. This is good for trips to the airport when I need the space for luggage. Thanks again,

Greg

Jet pilot the reason I started in back was because I had just finished up with a stereo install where I had dynomated Extreme in the hatch. My install is stealth except for my sub box which is not in the picture. So mostly it was just my hatch which was all torn up. As far as cost the material was only round 200 dollars but the labor round 1200. This was because of the number of panels and the uninstall and install time. Also many panels had to be customized and extended to the floor of the hatch. To do the front cabin and door panels should be less as custom fabrication will not be needed and everything is removed and replaced easier. Thanks for teh compliments if you have anymore questions fire away.

Thanks for the critique. I can understand not liking it visual appearance is such a personal taste. If you guys would have seen how bad my interior looked after messing it up doing my stereo install you would understand why I wanted something different. If you guys have any suggestions for improvment please share them. I was thinking about a carbon fiber strut bar panel or a carbon fiber or super black rear strut bar overlay from Bat. opinions please.

That interior is certainly unique to say the least. It must have been quite costly in time/labor/materials for sure. It's also kind of like having some good looking dynamat on the outside - so to speak. Your extraordinary efforts should still be commended for taking that bold step and utilizing a very different approach in 350Z interior design. (If anything, it must feel real nice)

Did I mention girls like the feeling of ultrasuede on the skin?? haha jk. Thanks Frank! I cringe at the thought of adding weight to my Z but if nothing else it gives me a reason to go FI so that i can keep that power to weight ratio acceptable.

LOL Frank that made my night. I think you should market that picture heh.

Daking, I would have to see how the blue CF looks I am doing the rest of the car in 2 tone with black leather so I was thinking a dark carbon fiber weave would look great. Also who much are you charging for your strut bar refinishing services?

PS anyone have a used APS TT for sale yet, I gotta find a way to get one in my engine bay before next June when I am getting married.
