Any recommendations on how to coax the OEM cross-drilled brake and clutch pedals onto their metal foundations?

If it's anything like my old Celica... it's just elbow grease and paitence (sp?)...

I've done several British car pedal change outs. These pedals seemed exceptionally tight. Like you said elbow grease was needed. I found using a mirror on the floor board to monitor the progress of the flat tip screwdriver helped a lot. Thanks for you advise.
