how long does the car sit between being driven? sure surface rust is normal that'll blow out but if it's pitting/bubbling rust, no that's not normal at all...

If it is stainless it might discolor some, it should not rust.
I don't know about this particular system but some companies use steel wool for packing, even if the system is stainless, if it is regular steel wool, that can rust and leave the inside looking rusty. Eventually it will rust entirely and the packing will just blow out.
Some cheaper stainless systems are mild steel inside and stainless outside.

I have the Tanabe Super Racing Medallion... Not a drop of rust on it. Still looks perfectly shiney and stainless! I drive it daily.

i think they are one of the loudest out there, from what i have heard. people have put all sorts of Tanabe parts on their cars, and i heard several of them mention that its LOUD!
