This thread genarates from another forum, Thought i would post the roots of this thread so you know where I'm coming with all this.

Hello,
We are currently looking into developing a MAFci System for the 350z. MAFci Systems are our, Custom Performance Engineering, line of intake systems. It is the first line of intelligent intakes designed specifically for mass air sensor equipped cars and trucks. The Nissan mass air flow sensor makes the 350z perfect candidate for the MAFci System.
Every MAFci system includes a high flow aFe reusable filter and all the associated plumbing (Usually 3.5" OD pipe), a bigger mass air sensor housing, associated hardware, and a MAF Customizer. The MAF Customizer is what allows the use of bigger mass air housing and is also used to tune the car for gains not possible with other intakes. Typical gains on a V6 are around 15-25 wheel hp and 17-30 wheel hp on a V8.
This post is to see if there is interest among the 350z owners. If we could get a list of about 15 people who would be interested, if the above stated gains were realized, that would be enough to start research and development. We do not expect money we just want a list to determine if there is interest out there. If there is interest then we will develop and test a prototype to determine if the gains are there. If they are we would like to sell it if not the project will be scrapped.
We are also looking for a 350z in the Washington DC, Baltimore area to do the development on. In return the owner will receive a free tunable intake for use on his/her 350z.
We would also like your input. What types of things would you like to see included in the design of this intake.

Hello,
The board members of CP-E have given the 350z MAFci System the go ahead for research and development. The engineers are very excited to start the project.
We would like a little more feed back from all of you. Would you like to see the intake for the 350z/G35 in a short ram intake with a heat shield or a CAI? Please contact Josh Adams at
[email protected] for any other volunteers. Currently we do not have a prototype vehicle.

Hello,
Yes the car will have dyno numbers and be dyno tuned. We have found a great candidate for prototyping. "suse" came by tonight with his well kept, clean cut, 350z and I believe he liked what he saw. We will start more extensive research and development after the Thanksgiving holiday as soon as he can drop it off. Please keep posting your comments on a CAI vs. short ram with heat shield. The more information everyone provides the more material we have for research and development. Thank you again for all the help.

So people post your thought?
