I took this part off my car for more air flow and WOW what a difference!

This "baffle" blocks the flow of air from the bumper to the CAI filter. You will have to remove the bumper to get the this "baffle" it is only held in with 3 "pop clips".

Here are some pics to help! First is of the air flow and the second/third are front and back shots of the "baffle"

Isn't that there for a reason? It helps guide the air that comes through your bumper through the radiator, instead of out the side.

I took off the reflectors to get more air flow to my cai and the front end looks great without them.

I was going to duct through there to provide air to the JWT.

I never thought of removing it.

Did you measure temps or gains by any way?

I think it was Jet who posted that you could take this off a while ago....he has had no probs....gotta find that post.....here it is....

IMO, not worth the risk of messin somethin up by removing it.. and there is no way you felt a difference buddy.. hate to say it, but its in your head!

Hrmm.. seems like they are there for a purpose. I'll duct from somewhere else.
Don't know if removing them is a good idea now...

The best place to duct if you desire is through the bumper, like the Varis intake duct. Thats pretty harmless, and should gain only cold air without restricting flow elsewhere..

I've been reading about that duct. But I was hesitant because of the off chance of water or <gasp> snow getting up in there.

I think he is right I am sure that piece is there to guide air through the radiator.
