I see the style with ones where the filter is in the location of the stock one and I see the ones where it places them low behind grill. Will the low ones get wet and can possibly damage the engine?

I would think the lower ones that hide the filter behind the grill are prone to getting dirtier faster and need to be cleaned more often.

Basically the filter would have to be submerged in water to really damage anything.. rain that may be hitting the intake while driving will not get sucked into engine
