I had purchased a 2003 350z Touring brand new in 03 @ 2,000 miles i had to replace the clutch because the pedal stuck to the floor and burnt up in gear nissan did now warranty the issue so i was stuck with repairs, again at 7,000 same thing happened again. Here we are now in 2009 i have 24,000 miles on the car and my clutch needs repair and my transmission is bad. Took car to transmission specialist to have looked at. He then told me that the problem that im having is caused by some clips in the tranny were not installed correctly and cause the synchros to go out and then keeps getting worse. NOTE: all work to the clutch and tranny have been done by my local nissan dealership and they will not stand behind their work....Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this resolved........I have been fighting with nissan-usa and my dealer since 2004 and nobody will help me

I thought there was a TSB on the transmission issue? I know a lot of 2003's got their transmissions fixed for free back a few years ago.

You can find used low mile transmissions for fairly cheap from junk yards. Check car-part.com.

Ok an update on tranny status.
I call my dealership(HOAK MOTORS) to schedule an appointment to get my tranny looked at, the dealerships service manager said that they are not autorized by nissan to work on my car, so it would be in my best interest to take to a transmission specialist for diagnosis and repairs. So i do as they say and take to the best tranny shop in town and have diagnosed. He calls me back and said the tranny needs replaced as none of the synchros are aligned properly and some c-clips are not installed correctly. So i call my dealership with the information i was given they then stated that they can no longer work on my car because they are not authorized to and to call nissan-usa consumer affairs and get authorization. So i call nissan and nissan says to take to dealership to get diagnosed but nissan will not call dealership to authorize them to work on my car. When i had the car at the dealership in 2004 for clutch issue repairs i had asked my dealership to please look at the tranny to find cause of the clutch problem they refused. Here I am now in 2009 with a 2003 350z with 24,000 miles and I keep getting the run around from the dealership that they cannot work on my car and nissan usa keeps telling me to take to dealership. I currently owe the tranny specialist money for finding the problems in the tranny that the dealership refused to do, but then nissan-usa says that any diagnostic fees at the dealership are at my expense so i will not pay them do a job they sent me somewhere else to do it. Currently in the process of aquiring an attorney to solve matters in court. One suggestion that i will make is never buy a car from HOAK MOTORS and 2nd do not buy nissan as they do not stand behind their product. This is a liability issue that could have been resolved back in 2004 when i asked the dealership to please look at tranny for damage or mechanical problems and would have been covered under my drivetrain warranty, this will be the 3rd clutch replacement i have had to make and a new tranny. This is the first and last nissan that i will ever buy. If anybody has any advice to this post please go right ahead.
