I'm looking for advice on getting this. I have a small crack on that part of my car, its not too noticable but I can still see it.

Anyway, think this would look lame or would it be okay on a CS?

I got mad the day I got the crack and ordered it, but its out of stock temporarily. So I have a day or so to rethink it.

At courtesy parts.

Naw, I wouldnt do that either. I'd do somethin like this instead: LIP that Covers Cracked area. Thats what I got on mine, and it covers up the lower part of your bumper.

Looks better on other colors, dont know If I'mm feelin it on red. Silver like yours may look pretty good.

Yeah, I like that better too. Thanks for the link, its cheaper too, it I get it unpainted.

Which brings up another question... Should I get it matching color (CS), or should i get black or unpainted for contrast? Or do you think that would look too ricey.

Definately, definately, DEFINATELY paint it. Please. For the love of god.

If it isn't CF, there is no reason to leave it unpainted. The only car that looks good on is the stock black plastic underbody kit on the R34 skyline.

I agree with Jetpilot718. I have the same lip and it looks good. I bought the painted version and it needed to be trimmed a little but, it is still a great value.

Well I personally have the CF lip cover, it's real CF, and it looks great IMO on my BY. In Pittsburgh I really can't have a lip b/c of all the hills etc it would get ripped off in 2 mins. Here is what it looks like, I got it off of www.evo-r.net and I think it was less than on the courtesy site.

I like it on my BY but I don't know if you want that much contrast w/ the CS. Quality piece in any case.

I didn't even think of clearance issues. I did alot of modding to my previous car, but nothing along the lines of body work. So I'm new to this aspect of it.

Do you other guys have clearance issues with your lips? Either the Veilside or the IntencePower one?

I live in a pretty flat city but there are a number of places with steep driveways, almost every gas station has one for some reason.

Well, I live in the Minneapolis suburb of Apple Valley which is pretty flat, but the curbs/driveways are tricky. I have a Cwest front lip, and there are no scraping issues.

With the installation of just about any front lip you should use caution driving in unfamiliar surroundings...especially if you have lowered the car. You can expect to scrape the bottom of the lip...which won't really damage it too much...just be very careful that you don't "catch" it in a dip or on a speed bump and crack it.

Well, I got the cover and put it on a few days ago. I decided not to get a extended lip, even though it would look a bit better. There are too many steep driveways around here, and with the luck I've been having so far I'll take the safer route. After I putting it on, it doesn't look to bad. I got some truck molding for my grille, I'll doing that some time next week maybe.

Here is a picture, for now.

Looks great, but for 200 bucks I'd have gotten the lip as well. The truck molding looks great on the CS for a grille by the way. I actually prefer it to all the aftermarket grilles I've seen.

I have the Intense Power lip on the way. What did you have to trim?

I'm not disputing that it would look better, but I have no doubt it would get ripped off. In the long run I might get some type of suspension as well, which will most likely make my car lower still. So I'll sacrifice looks for peace of mind this time, even though i really did want the lip. Oh well. :whine:
