I'm about to pick up some Volks and I can't decide on the offset. I've done some research and seems that 19x9.5 +19 fronts and 19x10.5 +29 rears will be perfect without rubbage. I want a really deep dish look but am worried about how much slower the car is gonna be. Don't want the ride to suck too much more either.

I was also considering 19x8.5 F and 19x9.5 rears but with more aggressive offsets. Just not sure of availability of the wheels with the closer to 0 offsets.

Anyone with 19x10.5 compared to stock, comments?

I have the 9.5 10.5 setup. With 285/35/19 tires in the rear and I needed to roll the fenders. I believe my offset is 22 or so.The wheels are slightly past the fender line in the rear.

I've got 285/30/19 on the rear and no rubbing issues. And - this thing corners like Amtrack!

How much slower did the car become? Is it totally noticeable where the car becomes sluggish?

I'm having my 19's put on tonight........8.5 front, 9.5 rear. They did tell me that the car will corner crazy cool, but they said it would be noticeably slower in lateral acceleration................I'll report back tonight/tomorrow. Might be in need of some HP mods............

Bryan, I wasn't crazy about those wheels until I saw them on your car. Wheels always look different when you wrap them in rubber and put them on. Your PPW looks great! :wavey:

Thanks, JT - It's very difficult to decide on rims/tires. All most places show is a thumbnail - and unless you've seen them on someone else's car, you're taking a chance. I lucked out. Everyone who's seen these like them. The Eibach springs also pulled it together. Feels like I'm driving a 911! The trouble is, I know I'm not going to be happy when it's time to replace the tires!

Regards from Little Washington -

I'm wearing 9.5" F and 10.5" R , 19" diameter.
245/35 & 275/35
no rubbing at all on stock suspension.

with Zeal V6 coilovers they rub. I accepted this before purchase, so it wasn't a shock.. Need to roll fenders. Not a big deal. Looks and handles very well.

Chris - man, those are sweet lookin' rims/tires. When I bought my PPW, they also had a blue coupe. A hard choice. Sweet ride.
