Welcome Teon- your question totally relies on what kind of mechanical skills you have to accomplish such a swap. The cons include swapping not only the trannys, but also figuring out if you need to install a new TCM computer (trans control module) to allow the car to run properly. The 350Z is a modern car and swapping mechanical systems out just isn't a simple project.

Also, the 350Z can be an expensive car to own and operate for a teenager. While I understand your determination to do so, what kind of budget do you have for buying and owning one?

Hey man Thanks for the welcome also i dont have much mechanical skills but me and some friends can get real dirty in some cars and youtube is a big bracket lol i just need someone to really guide me on the (i'd say the actuall breakdown of trans swap exactly for this typical car)

and my budget is quite simple i have a regular teenage job lol just whenever im ready to do things for my car i will i know how pricy it can get im just basically here looking for guidance so when i purchase my Z i can get to the dirty work and know what im doing as soon as possible !

If you're looking for guidance, I'd suggest buying a 6-speed Z to begin with. Don't try to convert a automatic If you haven't already purchased a car. The other suggestion is to pay to get a mechanical assessment on any Z you are serious about purchasing. It's the only way to know what you're really buying!

Yea i know and feel what your saying but that kinda goes with a budget thing in my area down here in south florida there are only so many Zs and the manual ones arent as good with high mileage and alot more pricy

Another bit of advice is to be patient and expand your search to neighboring states to find the Z you want. Taking a road trip to check out a wider variety of cars will be easier than taking on a mechanical project with no guarantees of success.
