I bought mine at Brown's Fairfax Nissan in March '04, and they tried to trick me. When I walked in I told them I wanted to buy it for such and such amount for 60 months at such and such payments.

Everything was going so well, I was getting the payments I wanted for the # of yrs I wanted...or so I thought. I was about 80% done with the paperwork, had signed a bunch of stuff, including the loan terms, but the sales manager messed up the paperwork and we had to start over.

Just I was about to sign the new loan paper, I noticed that they had snuck 72 months in on me without telling me. I was pissed. I told them no way. They gave me sh*t about me agreeing to those terms. I told them to give me my keys back. All of a sudden they were doing whatever they could to get me into that car.

They wacked my interest rate down like 4 points, gave me discounted extended warranty, gave me more for my old car, and gave me the aero package for free. 3 hours later, after like 10 times asking for my keys back, I got what I wanted. In the end I won, but it was a PITA.

The sales team that helped me were fine, except for one guy who was way pushy. It was when I got to working out the loan that it got all sh*tty.

Side note - I kinda wish I would have waited like 6 months. Right now, around here, everyone is offering anywhere from 3000 to 10,000 dollars off MSRP. Oh well, I love my Z. No complaints.

Moral of the story, read carefully. Even if they tell you what you want hear, it doesn't mean it's in writing.

Second moral of the story. Actuall, it was more like something learned. If you take up a lot of their time and then say 'no deal' then will bend over backwarks for you. In retrospect, I probably could have gotten an even better deal.

So, I was looking into getting my dents fixed by a PDR guy, right? I had six dents on four panels including three on the roof (stupid hail!) It seems people are charging by the panel and not by the dent. Plus roofs are more expensive because they have to take out the liner. I got a quote from one guy for $500 to do them and that was after knocking off $125 if I got all of them done at one time. Another guy charged up to $150 per panel. I was like "f*cking **** this going to be expensive."

So, I decided to call my dealership and ask them if they recommended anyone. In the meantime, I had picked up a seventh dent in my hood (have no idea where that one came from.) They gave me the number for a guy named George. I was skeptical at first cause it was just some guy the dealership uses. Would have rather had a company that specialized in it, but I decided to talk to him anyway.

So, this Saturday I took my car in to the dealership and George looked at my car. He said he would do the whole thing for 400 bucks. I was like ****'s yeah! I asked him if he could do it that day. He said he could but it would be late afternoon before I'd get it back because he was already working on a car. I told I'd give him an extra 100 bucks if he got me outa there that day.

Four and a half hours later it was done. I went to pick it up and not only could I not find any indications there were any dents from before, but he also fixed the scratches two of the door dings left. If you look really, really close, you can see evidence of the scratches. Nevertheless, needless to say I was very, very happy with his work.

Best 500 bucks I ever spent.

Well, I just noticed that somone drug something across the trunk and put a nice 3" long scratch in it. Unfortunately I can't get to the dealer for like 2 weeks because I'm going out of town. So, I'm gonna try some cleaner wax. The scratch doesn't look very deep, it might work. Hope so.

After I wiped off the white paint dust it, really wasn't terribly noticable, that's why I think the cleaner wax may work. If not, maybe I can have it buffed out.

It kinda looks like one of the garage-type exhaust hoses was drug all the way around my car. But that doesnt' make any sense cause I saw his work bay and there nothing hanging from the ceiling or walls in that area. It's almost like it was in one of the mechanic bays. You don't think they took it upon themselves to check for warranty-voiding aftermarket stuff while they had it in there, do you?

Maybe I'm a little paranoid, but it wouldn't suprise me (with the F&F ricer crowd mod craze as of late) that dealers might check for mods any time it's in the shop.

for 16,000 dollars, I'd expect that thing to leave a little more than 6 small dents

so here goes. i buy this carbon fiber gauge cover for my z. i bought it on the 2nd and it finally arrives on the 10th. whatever. so i go to open the box and it has deep scratches in it the carbon is like one sheet and seperated in more that 80% of the piece i was like what the f*&^. so after further inspection i see that the carbon or lack there of is not even complete as it looks like they ran out of carbon fiber and just filled in the gaps with resin. okay so im totally pissed by this point. i email the guy and tell him that i am very displeased with the product the fit is terrible the finish has deep scratches and the quality is horrible and i would like to have my money back. here is the part where i am the nice guy.
i told this guy i would pay for the shipping back to him and all i wanted was my origional purchase price. well i had to send him two emails before he responds. and he said this " im sorry i cant return your money it is a custom made piece for your car any questions please call ..." blah blah so im thinking.. yeah no **** its a custom piece and i know where it goes when i bought it jack off, what you sent me was a custom made piece of ****. and he wants me to call him in florida and waste more of my money.
so before i go on blast on ebay i need some opinions.
by the way the ebay user name is bimmertimem3. i recommend not doing buisness with him :F-you:

did you use a credit card? You could do a couple of things, go thru ebay, explain the situation and let them handle it. You could also get your credit card to do a charge back to the person for sales of damaged goods. Document everything that his for sure. Don't let this idiot get away w/ that. Sorry to hear that you got scammed. Go get em.... :punch:

In the auction, it doesn't say anything like "sold as-is" or "no refunds" does it? If it does, you're screwed regardless of the quality of the product.
