Basically. I've never done it myself, so I can't say 100% it's that simple. It may be a combination of prying the top and bottom out. But you shouldn't have to remove anything else to get it off
You can use a flathead screw driver with a soft cloth around it. Place it at the bottm edge and pry up. Or use a dime, penny....My mom put her amp there and loves it. No over heating or any other problems.
