I am REALLY impressed with the prformance of my car now! I now appreciate it more that i actually got the SSV installed on the car. Definately a show piece and definately a performance piece. I am saying this because i know how my car was before and what was it capable of, and what it can do now.

went over to Sam's house(skylinegee), i introduced him to Zaino. We washed the cars, Zainoed them, had a few cokes...and then sat down and admired the two cars sitting next to eachother looking better than ever. Sam is curious to know and so am i, so we decided to put the two cars to the test. :shiftdrive:

we line up on a red light, lights go GREEN and off we take off, i have never seen my car take off with wheels spinning all the way thru 1st!!!! shift to second, Sam is already behind me by half a car, 3rd i have a full car on him, 4th he had no chance. BTW Sam also has an SSV on his car, he feels gains as well, but no chance against a Z thats for sure. Sam is just amazed wishing he got a Z instead :OMG:

now you have to keep in mind that the car is Zinoed so it is definately an eye catcher!

I get on I-75 heading home...A WRX spots me speeding thru traffic, catches up to me, i was in the middle of 4th around 4000rpm. I step on it, so does he, you can hear the two cars screaming!!! just amazing! almost at 100 mph my car was pulling away from him with huge gains. the guy passes later and gives me a  and exits

Another Z wants to play, i guess he was mad that his car wasnt as shiney as mine! :nana: the guy wants to play, speeds up passes me and slows down, so did i ! the race starts two Z's in and out thru traffic, lovely scene, on long runs i had the upper hand all the time. got him at the end after he got stuck between two cars, i just took the exit and went home... :shiftdrive:

i know how my car was, and i know this gain in performance is from the SSV. Even Sam who is a car professional, admits that my car is a lot faster than what it used to be. The car was actually spinnning wheels all the way thru 1st gear! I love it!! keep in mind mine is a 5AT

The New SSV Manifold :yourock:

You'll get very close to the same hp gains from the SSV, APS or Crawford.

i highly doubt it Kenny....
im not saying that APS or Crawford are not good, but this manifold is capable of a lot more than the APS and the Crawford even when you go FI. this piece has been engineered different than any other plenum out there

I like my Crawford plenum. I should since I shopped long and hard for a good deal, then got it powdercoated. Might not be as shiny as yours, but I feel like I got a few extra HP with it. Why don't we meet halfway and race for pink slips?

well...it's a damm fine looking manifold...no argument there. But...it's more of a show piece with close to the same hp gains as the APS and Crawford as far as I've been able to tell. If the SSV performed better that the others...all the F/I crowd would be ordering them, and I haven't seen that...yet.

for sure. i think this piece is by far the best looking out of all of them!

maybe the 800 dollar price tag scares people away....since there's no HARD EVIDENCE that this is far better than others.

WATCH OUT EVERYONE.....AYMAN HAS HIS PERIOD AGAIN!!!

i wasn't saying you were wrong or anything.....i was just saying production has a big part of there being a 3 month waiting period. if they had 100 of these sitting in a shop waiting to be sold...would there be a 3 month waiting period? no.
