I don't see many ZR's with their top down, but this one was really a head turner. It looked stock. Hopefully, I can flag the driver down and join the club.

Jim was cruising by a local watering hole last week and saw a 1988 Z-31 "Shiro SS" in the lot, a pretty rare car. I think they made less than 1000 of them - our ZROC VP has one. Single turbo, quicker than **** but lousy suspension, like all Z31's. Of course Jim stopped in and introduced himself - they guy just bought it and has owned several Z's over the years. He might be joining us for our first cruise this coming Saturday. I followed a Silverstone Z33 home from work on Friday, and a DB on the way into work today. Couldn't flag either of them down though. We have a bunch of new members this year, hope to meet some of them Saturday. Ernie has mapped out a nice twisty route through SE Ohio - I'm hoping my CZP brakes/SS lines get here this week! Could not justify the expense of a BBK but way overdue for rotors and fluid swap.

I was behind a stock SS the other day too..forgot how much I like thhat color, you see them about as much as you see BY lol...too bad I was in the Tahoe...

Weird. Normally the drivers of older Z's are usually the quickest to return a wave. It's only whenever I wave at the owner of a newer model do I get stared at like I owe them money.

you could tell the guy was a toolbag just looking at him.. I honestly don't even know if he knows what he has lol. I'm guessing he may sorta know but **** he wasn't friendly at all. In Ohio it was mostly the older crowd driving Z's that were giving all the waves, nods, honks, flashes etc. Down here it's like the older crowd are all prudes.. cept the two really old school black dudes that live near me.. one has a 300zx tt and the other has a Z31.. they're all waves and smiles.. rest of the older crowd.. prune faces :|
