I live in central Florida and a good tint is nice when that blazing sun is beating in on you. When my other cars were done, they caution you to not use the windows for 24 hours. The problem I see is with the door open, the window is not full up. They will need to overcome this problem. Then, I cannot close the door without lowering it. Then having it lift back up. I do not want to crinkle up the tint. Any ideas?

Also, my '05 has some kind of dots around the rear view mirror. Will this need to be scraped off?

Thanks,
Keith

Are you getting the front windshield done? If so, I suggest them putting a piece of black vinyl underneath it before they tint it.

Also, make sure they are aware of the windows coming down when you open them. They can dry the tint a little better there, so you will not have any worries.

One more thing. I was told you should wait 3 days or possibly more. It all depends on how sunny/warm it is those days. The tint has to have time to shrink.

there is a small switch in where the door closes look for it its black you need to leave it pressed so the window stays up with the window up, i recomend placing some duck tape or something so u dont have to be standing next to it pressing it!! good luck

Thanks for the advice. I got the tint installed yesterday. They used FormulaOne Performance Ultimate Series. Lifetime warranty. The shop has a CNC cutter. They just plug the year/make into the PC and the film is cut on a plotter like machine. Makes for a real nice install. They had done Zs before and knew where to remove a screw that is the ground for the door switch to keep the window full up with the door open. Also said to park it in the sun for 3 days before lowering the windows. Looks great with the silverstone.
